Our Story
Hudson is not a logo that learned to wave. He started as a costume in the back of a hatchback and became the character people ask to photograph before they ask what we’re selling.
The idea has never changed: the most Canadian thing imaginable is a beaver who shows up early, keeps his hat straight, and holds the door for everyone behind him.
1998
A parade, a paper hat
Hudson debuted in a hand-sewn jacket at a small Ottawa Valley winter parade. The hat was cardboard. The salute was not.
2007
Ten provinces, one duffel bag
A decade of rinks, ferry terminals and county fairs turned a local character into a face people recognised from coast to coast.
2016
The first statue
A run of 100 hand-painted resin figures sold out in a weekend. Collectors asked for numbers on the base, and we listened.
Today
Made once, kept forever
Every piece is finished by hand in Ontario, numbered where the run is limited, and logged in the Hudson registry.
